How your money data is protected
No jargon, no fine print. Just a clear account of how Spendle handles your information.
Bank-level security
Your bank accounts connect through Akahu, New Zealand’s regulated open-banking provider. The connection is read-only, so Spendle can see your transactions but can never move your money. Spendle never sees or stores your bank login details.
Stored securely
Your information is stored securely on Amazon Web Services, the same trusted cloud platform used by major banks and enterprises. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by strict access controls and continuous monitoring.
Two-factor authentication, always on
Two-factor authentication is enforced on every account, with no exceptions. Even if someone learns your password, they still can’t get in without your second factor.
Encrypted, end to end
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. That means it’s protected as it travels between your device and Spendle, and protected again while it’s stored.
No ads, ever
Spendle has no ads, and never will. We never sell your financial data. Our business is the app you pay for, not your information.
You stay in control
You can revoke Spendle’s access to your bank at any time. You can export your data whenever you like, and you can delete your data and close your account on your own terms.
